Brandt, who was raised in Cape Town South Africa with her parents and siblings moved into Auckland New Zealand when she was a teenager. Brandt was discovered by local casting agencies, was cast in the role of Naevia on the Starz blockbuster Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Her performance was a hit with the audiences as well as the producers Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi.
